Various small thingsmon-syslogFor users of mon, a powerful network monitoring toolkit written in Perl, mon-syslog might provide additional functionality. It acts as a syslog daemon, and allows triggers to be set on regular expressions occuring more than N or less then N number of times in a given interval, per hostgroup or per host, which will in turn generate traps to mon and will then be fed into the normal mon process. As a side effect, it will also allow you to have much neater separated syslog files for your hosts. hostmonAnother tool for mon. This one runs on a given host and will report on various conditions - filesystem full, directory filling or growing stale, number of processes, loadavg etc - to a mon server. NetiquetteEnforcer.plEver got tired of people violating the netiquette on mailing lists? Quoting to much, lines to long, MIME multi-part, HTML mails et cetera? Well, I most certainly am. This tool can easily be placed into an ezmlm list and be configured flexibly to bounce such messages. It desperately needs to be ported to mailman. Any volunteers? More? There may be more small stuff I haven't even bothered to mention. Feel free to check. | ||||||
