Tech stuffThis page is deliberately not titled Professional (as opposed to the Personal area). This is my personal tech corner still and not endorsed, supported or affiliated with my employer! If you want to learn more about my professional experience in full, please see my Résumé. I have been an exclusive Linux user and soon developer from 1994 on; my first experiences were network administration, server management in an ISP environment as well as network infrastructure customer projects. Right now, I am very happy I get to spent a lot of my time on clustering and especially high-availability; a very complex topic, which I am enjoying so far. The projects I am working with include, but are not limited to, Linux FailSafe, heartbeat and the Linux Virtual Server Project and quite a few others. I am also trying to help sort the mess that is Linux Clustering by contributing to the Open Clustering Framework. In general, I like to share my ideas of how problems should be solved with anyone who can't avoid listening. Nowadays, I get actually paid to do just that at conferences, which is a plus. People also claim that I did solve a few problems on my own and that I can be rather stubborn until I found the bug in question or came up with an elegant design, but no eye witnesses can be found for proving that I actually do work myself. However, some small things I have come up with should be listed in the menu to the left, if I have gotten around to it already. My Comments might also contain some geeky stuff, even though they are classified into the personal area, where you will also find my gpg information. | ||||||
